With the summer classic fast approaching (wow, this season is moving fast) I thought I'd take some time to visit some of the best moments in All Star Game history, and this is probably the greatest of them all. Williams dominating hit off Passeau, as DiMaggio said, "He hit the ball off the roof. It wasn’t a fly ball, it was a line drive that just went straight up and hit the roof on a line. In all my years playing in that park, I never saw another one hit like that.”
Here's to "The Kid" and to all the hero's of that generation. Most players were hero's to kid's then, but Ted was truly A hero in the most real way possible.
