Papi is the example

Just had to share this. Great commercial and why Papi is a good guy. Just a fun loving guy with a lot of talent.

The boys go down to Tampa today and hopefully we will bring that win streak into the double digits!

With the summer classic fast approaching (wow, this season is moving fast) I thought I'd take some time to visit some of the best moments in All Star Game history, and this is probably the greatest of them all. Williams dominating hit off Passeau, as DiMaggio said, "He hit the ball off the roof. It wasn’t a fly ball, it was a line drive that just went straight up and hit the roof on a line. In all my years playing in that park, I never saw another one hit like that.”
Here's to "The Kid" and to all the hero's of that generation. Most players were hero's to kid's then, but Ted was truly A hero in the most real way possible.

So the Sox and the legion known as "The Nation" had a great trifecta in The Bronx this week. For us it was a great way to spend the dredges of the middle of the work week, coming home to see the Red Sox thump the Evil Empire two nights in a row.
Ortiz put up a two run blast on Tuesday and then after the game was promptly "questioned" for his showmanship directly after. How does he show his composure?  "That's Papi style. You've seen that before, I just went deep. You want more emotion than that?" He then said he would do the same thing tomorrow. Game two on Wednesday and he did it again in almost the same exact fashion, but minus the fashionable flip and spin before he started his trot around the bases.
Carl Crawford continued his climb with solid hitting with a long shot in game 2 and then Drew with another long ball after him in the second win at Yankee Stadium.
Tonight going into the 7th inning it looked like the Bean Town boys just didn't have the bats going well enough to mount and offensive against the Yanks, but we were all  happily proved wrong when they went down the line scoring 7 runs on 6 hits in the inning. Key hits from Ortiz, Ellsbury, and Mike Cameron were how it went down.
One more run in the 9th and it was in the bag so to say. Josh Beckett pitched a great game with 4 hits, 2 walks and 6 strike outs, helping keep the Yanks from running up the Sox were able to strike. Albers and Wheeler finished it off seeing as Papelbon really wasn't needed by the end of this one.
Great way to start the rest of the week unless of course your living in the empire state.
I really wish I had been at the Cask 'n Flagon tonight, but thank god for MLB.tv.
